Sports Program and Active Bodies

The aim of Health and Physical education at Mundingburra State School is to promote total fitness through activities designed to meet the physical, mental and social characteristic needs of the student. We developed an Active Bodies circuit classes that is held every Wednesday morning, before school from 8.00am–8.45am.

We encourage all children from Prep – Year 6 and their families to join us in a fun environment to move their bodies and get active. This is a free circuit class.

Our school offers a variety of popular sports both during physical education lessons and during the two interschool sport seasons.

During the inter-school sport season students can elect to participate in a range of sports including hockey, netball, tennis, rugby, soccer, and touch football.

Mundingburra State School holds a number of annual sporting events including a cross-country, swimming, and school athletics carnivals. Many of our students achieve an extremely high standard in these events and advance to higher levels of competition at region, state and national finals.

Our physical education teacher is also trained to coach teams for interschool-sport competitions, regional trials, cross country and athletics.
